Sewing Projects

My mom, aunt, grandmother and other friends have been asking to see pictures of the dresses and skirts I've been sewing lately, so I finally bit the bullet and modeled them this evening. Andrew took a few shots for me and I weeded out the best ones. It was hard to find the "best" ones because I didn't like any of the pictures of me. Oh well. You all asked for it!

I'm one of those people who likes to make a mock-up before cutting the good fabric, so I stopped by Goodwill and bought a cheap, used, pink sheet for my test clothes...

The skirt mock-up. Sorry about the wrinkles, but after all, it's a sheet.

The real thing.

The dress mock-up.

My new Regency ballgown.

Anyway, they aren't perfect or stunning, but I had fun and got some good sewing experience. Next projects: a full skirt and a 50's dress!

Looks great Sarah. I like the pink one even if it is a sheet. I wouldn't have known it was a sheet if you hadn't said so. Looks like you are doing a great job. Now you've got to get over to Erica's Fishbowl Sense and join in the spring craft fun. :-)
