Last Saturday, Andrew and I went to the Twelfth Night ball hosted by his sister in McMinnville. It was a great evening of English Country dancing, talking to friends and sampling delicious treats brought by everyone. You can see my pictures of the event by visiting my website.
Andrew, Brian, Laura and I did a demonstration dance called Argeers. It is the most difficult dance we've learned so far and took us a couple weeks to get it down. We messed up a couple times, but it was a lot of fun to dance. Below is a video clip of us:

What is Twelfth Night? Twelfth Night is the evening of January 5th, the eve of Epiphany, which commemorates the visit of the Magi to Jesus. It is the night leading into the twelfth and final day of the Christmas season. From as early as the Middle Ages, Twelfth Night has been the occasion to have a huge Christmas celebration. People would come from far and near to be together with their families and friends for a wonderful evening of feasting, dancing, and mummer’s plays.
