Morning Musings

Good morning, blog world. It's a cloudy day in Oregon with the hint of possible rain to come. I've noticed it's not getting light out as early now, which is bad because it's more dim and gloomy after Andrew leaves for work. Or maybe it just seems dim and gloomy because he isn't here.

Today I'm hanging around the house all day, waiting for the repair man to fix the bedroom heater and FedEx to bring a package. Hopefully they will both come in the morning hours so I'll be free this afternoon.

I never realized quite how wonderful marriage would be. Last night, for example, I had a bad dream and it was oh-so comforting to wake up and not be alone, but to feel instead a strong arm around me and hear Andrew's steady breathing. Husbands are really nice.

Andrew is the bestest. Yesterday evening, after supper, I wasn't feeling too well (chilling, upset stomach and the like), so he made me sit down while he washed and dried all the supper dishes (which were quite a few!), put away the leftovers and cleaned up the kitchen. Then he wrapped me in a thick blanket, put my pajamas in the dryer so they would be all warm and toasty when I put them on, and combed my hair for a long time (nothing relaxes me like someone combing or playing with my hair). Wow, that felt so good! And he did all that despite being tired from a long day at work. What a wonderful guy.
